ZnO/glass thin film surface acoustic waves for efficient digital acoustofluidics and active surface cleaning

Transparent microfluidic devices based on ZnO thin film/glass surface acoustic waves (SAWs) were explored for active cleaning its acoustofluidic performance. Acoustic generated from films glass substrate investigated and their performance including transportation, jetting nebulization evaluated. Ash particles starch solutions used as model contaminants the of ZnO/glass SAW devices, mass loading device's was monitored using device with a high sensitivity 280.0 ± 9.0 Hz/(μg/mm2). Active demonstrated transportation water droplets, optimized powers identified which caused strong interactions between droplet contaminants, thus effectively surfaces. Studies heating effects induced by SAWs showed that efficiency also influenced temperature agitations.
